On November 23, ICCRC, the Canadian Immigration Consultant Regulatory Commission, was officially upgraded to the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) for short. The upgraded CICC will have a higher legal status and more laws Authorize and enforce stricter supervision of licensed consultants, crack down on and prosecute institutions and individuals that illegally provide immigration services at home and abroad, and hold accountable all immigration practitioners who violate the law.
It is foreseeable that a large number of unlicensed and unlicensed institutions and various phenomena of deceiving applicants will be greatly improved in the future, so that the service standards of the immigration industry will be on par with dentists, lawyers, accountants and other industries. Enjoy a more transparent and reliable market environment.
In fact, many friends do not quite understand the difference between a “licensed consultant” and a so-called “immigration agency”. First of all, most of the “immigration intermediaries” are sales jobs. They can sign clients, but they don’t have the license to handle immigration for clients. Canadian licensed immigration consultants are practitioners regulated by Canadian laws and professionals in the legal industry. According to Canadian laws, only they can provide immigration consulting services for customers and handle specific immigration applications on behalf of customers.
In the next note, I will introduce to you how to verify whether the service you are serving is a licensed immigration consultant with CICC certification. Let’s continue with the next article.
