In the past November, the Canadian labor market finally got rid of the impact of the pandemic, the unemployment rate dropped significantly, and the proportion of the population with jobs even reached a record high. In just one month, 153,700 jobs were added across Canada.
According to Statistics Canada, Canada’s current strong economic growth and the reopening of a large number of businesses have brought a lot of demand for employment. In the past, the Minister of Labor of Ontario requested to increase the introduction of overseas skilled workers, and later there were difficulties in recruiting workers in the service industry across Canada. At present, the overall unemployment rate in Canada has dropped to 6%, and there are nearly 1 million job vacancies across the country.
So, for you who want to immigrate, which jobs are the easiest to immigrate to choose?
First of all, service industry jobs and technical blue-collar jobs are currently the most labor-intensive jobs. Restaurant kitchen helpers, postal workers, production line workers, drivers, nurses, nurses, nurses, construction workers, cleaners, logistics and transportation workers are currently the easiest positions to find a job. Secondly, engineers, decorators, carpenters, welders and other blue-collar skilled workers who need to test their licenses to work are also popular.
How do applicants for these positions immigrate? What IELTS score do I need? Let’s take the provincial nomination channel for shortage of occupations in Ontario as an example to explain to you.
Applicants first need to engage in jobs in the “shortage occupation list” (see Figure 1), and meet the following five requirements:

1. The income reaches the average level of the position
2. Have 9 months of full-time work experience in the workplace (or part-time work experience of the same length)
3. Have a high school education or above and the certificate and license to engage in the industry.
4. English IELTS score of CLB 4. Note that for applicants with three years of work experience in the same position, the IELTS test can be exempted!
5: The applicant provides legal personal documents and salary tax return records.
We all know that the income gap between blue-collar and white-collar workers in Canada is very small, and even many blue-collar workers earn more than office white-collar workers. For those who have skills and hope to come to Canada to live and earn higher income, now is a rare immigration window. With the temporary policies of the federal government such as travel transfer, it only takes 2-3 years to obtain a Canadian green card.
